Black Bean Soup (Ornish)

Black beans, tomatoes, potato, onion and garlic are simmered in vegetable broth, seasoned with cumin, thyme, cilantro and hot pepper sauce.

Chicken breast, chicken broth, onion, lemon zest, mint, parsley, thyme, garlic, peppercorns, white rice, lemon juice, mint.

Cream of Asparagus Soup

Fresh asparagus (when available) is simmered in water with onion, celery and chicken broth to create an asparagus stock. The stock is combined with butter, flour, fat free half and half, salt, white pepper and paprika.

Cauliflower, butter, onion, celery, flour, water, chicken base, fat free half and half, nutmeg, salt, and paprika.

Curried Butternut with Diced Pear

Butternut squash is combined with sauteed onion and garlic, sugar, curry powder, chicken broth, and then blended until smooth. Plain nonfat yogurt adds a creamy texture. This soup is garnished with diced pears and mint leaves. (Served cold or warm).
